When it comes to healing, something as simple as a home-cooked meal or spending time with family can make all the difference. The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Western New York focuses on providing a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since its inception in 1983, RMHC has served over 17,000 families from Western New York, Northwestern Pennsylvania, the country and the world.
To do our part to help improve the health and well-being of children and families, Milestone Consulting is working with RMHC of Western New York to provide support and assistance to families with sick or injured children in the community. We will be providing a full dinner, as well as comfort bags to RMHC as part of a nationwide community outreach event known as the Injury Board Day of Action (#IBDayofAction).
On Friday, September 4th, Milestone will be delivering a buffet dinner to RMHC and providing essentials, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and cleansing wipes in comfort bags so that families who are dealing with the sickness of a child, and are in need of a hot meal and some items they might otherwise overlook are cared for.
“At Milestone we take pride in our community involvement, the Ronald McDonald House has a significant impact to the lives and well-being of families across Western New York and we are honored to help them on this Day of Action,” says John Bair, founder and member of Milestone.
The IB Day of Action is a nationwide collaborative effort to bring together more than 100 firms from across the US, all working for the same great cause.
“We are passionate about helping Injury Board members give back to their communities; it’s part of the DNA of our organization,” says Tom Young, attorney and co-founder of The Injury Board. “We are extremely proud to bring our members together for this Day of Action. To make even the smallest difference is better than making no difference at all.”
Milestone will be collecting donations for the comfort bags until Wednesday, September 2nd. Donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, bottled water or cleansing wipes can be dropped off at our office located at 737 Main Street, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
